I Have been racking my brain trying to make a gif file that looks as good as it does in html or flash formats
the gif image is really grainy or(low color)

some more info would be good here. You definitely want to be using Photoshop for creating Gifs. In short, you would have your image in Photoshop, and select File > Export for Web. Then, make sure colors are set to 256 for highest quality. Give me an example of what you're doing and I can help further, thanks!
