All, I've got unexpected problem with kat-osx. Trying to press on "Focus training" led to program's collapse and corruption of the database. After repeted attempt to do this (silly me) I simply can't open the program again due to 'Error: The database could not be opened....'. I don't want to restart the box right now due to many processes running, but what're my options? Should I re-install? Kat was happily running from mid summer last year, lately unused most of the time, starting it once in awhile to see if any progress was made. Any thoughts? dustman |

Hi, Please check that you have read and write permissions for the "helpers" folder and all of its contents. This folder will be found inside the program folder. If it's not a permissions problem, the database file may be corrupt. This could have happened if the system crashed or was shutdown while it was open. Usually it's a permissions issue though. |

No, it's not permission issue. Checked with ls -l and see it belongs to me (would be strange otherwise since kat was installed into ~/Applications). All files in this directory are also rw by me. Thought of learning QWERTY but looks like kat needs re-install and I can't find registration code. P.S. Box didn't crash on me and wasn't under heavy load when it happened. |
