database couldn't be opened

All,

I've got unexpected problem with kat-osx. Trying to press on "Focus training" led to program's collapse and corruption of the database. After repeted attempt to do this (silly me) I simply can't open the program again due to 'Error: The database could not be opened....'.

I don't want to restart the box right now due to many processes running, but what're my options? Should I re-install? Kat was happily running from mid summer last year, lately unused most of the time, starting it once in awhile to see if any progress was made.

Any thoughts?

Re: database couldn't be opened

Hi, Please check that you have read and write permissions for the "helpers" folder and all of its contents. This folder will be found inside the program folder. If it's not a permissions problem, the database file may be corrupt. This could have happened if the system crashed or was shutdown while it was open. Usually it's a permissions issue though.

Re: database couldn't be opened

No, it's not permission issue. Checked with ls -l and see it belongs to me (would be strange otherwise since kat was installed into ~/Applications). All files in this directory are also rw by me.

Thought of learning QWERTY but looks like kat needs re-install and I can't find registration code.

P.S. Box didn't crash on me and wasn't under heavy load when it happened.
