Adding music files

I want to have a song play for the first 5 slides then switch to a new song for the next 5 slides and so on...is this possible.

Hi,
You could try to set the display times of the first 5 pictures to match that of the length of the song. However, you will probably find that there will be some variance from computer to computer because of different speeds, resources, etc. Unfortunately, there is not a clear-cut way to do this.

thanks--
Brad

Maybe there is a way to change my song files to the length I want and then just list them in the music file list. I don't want to play the whole song but just 1 minute of one, then switch to the next. Is there a way for me to save my song files to that length. My song files are the whole song and I don't want to play the whole song. Does anyone know how to do that?

Hi,
Although there is not a way to edit a sound file within ESSC, you could use a 3rd party sound editing program to just create 1 minute clips of the songs you want to use and then add those clips to your show. I've used commercial products like SoundEdit 16 and SoundForge to do things like this, but if you don't have those, I suspect there are probably some freeware/shareware programs out there that would allow simple editing. I think the Windows sound recorder may even let you edit a wav file. Hope that helps!
