Have an easy question about preloader
      #161 - 06/11/03 05:14 PM

I have been messing with preloaders for about a week and am still having problems. No matter what I do and no matter what preloader I use, the swf file downloads completely before I see anything.

Example with the Loadermx file I download the FLA file and inserted the included graphic into the swf to make it big, but when you go to it you never see the loadbar until its complete done downloading.

Here is the link to it.

http://www.svtasg.com/loadermx.swf

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bobby

Interesting, I'm sure we can figure this out. Some things to try:

1. Make sure you check your publish settings and if top down is selcted change that to bottom-up, and vice versa. It sometimes makes a big difference.

2. Did you copy the file exactly and make no changes to it? Let me know what changes you made if you have...

3. You may want to make the movie like 3-4mb so you can see exactly what is going on, and check it out in the bandwidth profiler. That can be a great tool.

If nothing is helping, email the fla to jeremy@programmingart.com and I will be glad to take a look! Good luck!
