Need help with sound clips
      #307 - 01/10/04 11:43 AM

Hi
I am evaluating your software. What I want to do
is create sound clips that will play for each picture. These I create as mp3 files. I insert them in your
program in the sound clips section and I set the time
for the picture so that it should fit the time of the
sound clip. What I've found, however, is that the sound
plays for only 30 seconds or so for each picture, and then
stops. The picture stays there for the time I set, so I
don't know what's wrong. Is there a time limit on the sound clip?
Help!
Fred

Hi,
There is no time limit on the sound effects. The sound that plays for a sound effect should stop playing when the picture changes to the next picture in the queue. Does it always seem to stop at the same place in the song? If you would like to, you can send me one of your song clips, and I'll make a test show with it so I can see exactly what is happening. Just send it to support@programmingart.com. Thanks--

Hi
I sent the sound clip in to support. Did you
try it?
Thanks
Fred

Hi,
The email you sent did not have an attachment on it. It's possible that your email provider is blocking attachments. You may want to check with them. Maybe if you zip it first, they will let you send it..

I will send again to support. I suspect your
program does not work properly with voice sound effects,
only music sound effects.

Hi,
Sorry, the attachment did not come through again. It looks like the attachment limit for netzero is 3MB. Is the file bigger than that? Whether the clip is voice or music will not matter. If it's a wav file, it's possible that it could have an encoding that is non-standard and the program is having trouble interpretting it. I'd certainly be able to say for sure or not if I had a copy. If you find a way to email the attachment, I'll test it, and also convert it to some other formats and see if they work better.

thanks--

Hi,
Have you sent the attachment yet? I haven't seen anything with an attachment come in yet...
