I tried reinstalling but I still get the same error, so before I do anything else I thought I'd check to see if this was a known bug? The creator seems to be working fine, I just can't get the viewer to play anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, Do you have the most recent version, which is 1.12? Does this happen when you click the 'start my slide show' button from within the creator, or is it happening with a created cd-rom or zip file? Please let me know as many details as possible and I'm sure we can get this figured out. Thanks--

OK, details follow: Yes I am running version version 1.2. It happens when I click the "start my slide show" button from within the creator, it also happens if I try to "open slide show" from the file pull-down menu within the creator, or if I double-cick the slideshow document. In fact now that I am looking, the size of the slideshow document I'm looking at says 0 bytes when I check the properties. Please note that I have had this same problem after creating several slideshows, not just one. And I haven't tried to create or use either a cd-rom or a zip file yet. Thanks for looking into this for me, please let me know what other info you need.

Well, the fact that your slide show file is 0 bytes is probably a clue. This is the first I've heard of such a problem. Did anything strange happen when you saved your slide show file? Did you have pictures in the show when you saved? To be absolutely safe, maybe you should not only reinstall, but also download the setup file again to make sure there is not an issue with that. If that doesn't help, I may have to ask that you provide every tiny detail of how you are creating your show and saving it so I might be able to try the exact same things to see if I can reproduce the error.
thanks--

OK, I uninstalled, deleted the original setup file, downloaded a new one, restarted my computer, then tried to reinstall. I got the following message: "An I/O error occurred while installing a file. This is normally caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file." accompanied by an "abort" button and a "retry" button. Retry caused the same window to pop up multiple times so I finally aborted. I repeated the process of uninstalling, deleting and downloading a new setup file and the problem repeated itself. Maybe the original file (on your server) has a problem? Sigh...

Hi, Yes, unfortunately, you are correct. I just found out there was a disk problem on the web server and the file became corrupt. It has been replaced and is working fine now. I apologize for the wasted time... if you care to download it again, it should be fine now. Thanks--
