Hi All, This comes up every now and then, so I figured I'd post this tip. If you want to add background music to your slide show, the best format to use is MP3 because of the relatively small file size and the high quality audio. For Mac users, iTunes is the most popular way to get music files from your audio CD's.
To configure your Apple iTunes to save files in MP3 format, you can do the following: 1) open Apple iTunes 2) click the iTunes menu 3) select Preferences 4) click on Importing 5) click the "import using" pull-down menu and select 'MP3 Encoder' 6) click OK
Now, when you save your music it will be saved in MP3 format.

Also! Another handy tip is that once you have MP3 set as your default format, there will be an option in the "Advanced" menu that allows you to "convert selection to mp3". So, if you already got your music into iTunes from your audio CD, but now would like to have mp3 files in addition to your other format, you can get them with a single click to this option. Just highlight the files you want to convert and select this option. You'll probably see 2 copies of each song in iTunes after it's done. You could delete the old format if you want to only have 1 copy of each song.
