Truncated Music Tracks
      #630 - 12/30/05 10:14 PM

When putting together my latest slideshow I find that Easy Slideshow Creator (Version 1.30) truncates the last 15 seconds or so from each MP3 music track and abruptly starts to play the next track. I have not had this problem with previous slideshows. I am playing the slidshow off of my hard drive as I have not yet recorded it to a CD. Any suggestions?

That does sound strange. Definitely haven't seen this before... Are the mp3 files in the music playlist for sure? For example, if one or more of them is added as a "sound effect" it will only play as long as that slide is displayed to which it is attached. If all looks to be OK, you may also want to just check the files in another music player just for sanity. Just to make sure the file isn't cut off in iTunes or Media Player for example.

I've discovered the problem. I used Roxio Creator Classic to convert my music tracks to .MP3 files. Apparently, Roxio does something to the files that ESSC doesn't like. Two thirds of the music tracks I converted don't properly play on ESSC but play OK otherwise. To get around the problem I used Roxio to first convert the music files to .WAV files. Then I pulled up the .WAV files in Cool Edit 2000 and converted them to .MP3 files. It works!
