Greetings -When I try to zip a slideshow for emailing, I end up with a huge (9MB) file, though I'm informed that the zipping has been successful. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any pointers!

Hi,
Depending upon the number and size of your photos, you might not be doing anything wrong. The prepared zip file will contain other files in addition to just your pictures and music. For example, there is a slide show player embedded in the zip file so that anyone who downloads your zip file will be able to play your slide show without having to install any software. It's basically all the files you would find on the prepared CD-ROM, but zipped.
If you haven't done any "prep" to your photos, you may be able to pick up some efficiency by formatting and sizing your pictures the same way you would for a website. For example, a picture taken directly from a digital camera may be a few megabytes and have a high resolution like 1600x1200. When you size for web, you usually make the pictures fit inside an 800x600 screen which makes the file sizes more manageable. In a program like PhotoShop, there is a "save for web" feature built in which is very helpful.
