Hello
I'm using KA ver1.1 on a mac 10.3.2 with 1.5gigs ram flash ver7. I have have used lesson skill builder quite a bit [28] times and noticed that when i go to focas training after the lesson the program quits every time , the previous ver did this to and then would not launch at all after a period of time , i reinstalled the latest ver and it was working correctly the first couple of times , now it quits every time if i try to go into focas training. This problem seems similar to the pervious post,any thoughts on how to correct this problem would be greatly apprecieated.

Yes there is an error message it is the application K A has unexpectedly quite
this has not affected other progams,would you like to sumit this to to apple?
if you like i could send you a screen shot of the error message.

Hi,
Thanks for letting us know. The testing Mac here is 10.1.5, so I think I will need to get another machine to test on 10.3.X as well. We'll be looking into this as soon as possible. Thanks--

What mac do you have ? Very few people run 10.1.5 It would probally be alot cheaper if you just upgraded to 10.3 instead of buying a new machine if possible. Please contact me when you can about this problem, i would really like to use this feature of the program.

Hi,
Our Mac test box is a G3 (blue and white). We'll let you know what we find with testing. In the mean time, you may want to try making a new "Key Advantage Typing" folder and seeing if you have any luck with a fresh installation. It's possible that perhaps your data file got corrupted, especially if you had a crash while it was open.

Having the same exact problem running OSX 10.4.8 on a G4. Started with the program "unexpectedly quitting" when trying to run reports. Now will not let me run the program at all. Once entering any user name and choosing a keyboard setting, program disappears and the error message occurs. If I can't get this remedied, I'll need a refund.

Hi,
That's a lower level error (outside of the scripting environment), so I might have to think it's likely a problem with the application file as opposed to a scripting bug. I would recommend trying 2 things in this case. 1) redownload the program and run a fresh copy to make sure we're not dealing with a corrupted file. We now have a StuffIt file as well as a gzipped DMG disk image to choose from. You can find them at http://www.programmingart.com/products/key
2) Check permissions of the folder and the files inside and make sure you have read and write access in /Applications/kat-osx/Key Advantage Typing/Key Advantage Typing/helpers
