Problem with Tutorial
      #736 - 04/18/07 09:06 AM

Good morning! I'm trying to follow the tutorial on controlling the sound via the sound object and I'm having a little difficulty. I'm using Flash 8 Professional. I've imported my sound file and linked it for export to actionscript and in first frame. I've added the code to the buttons and movieclip objects and the main code to the first frame but when I test the movie the sound file won't begin playing. The volume up/down works.

The sound file is linked as "soundFile" but still won't play. It DOES play when imported to the library in your tutorial files.

What am I missing or doing wrong?

Thanks,

M

Nevermind... it turned out to be a problem with the buttons from the library I was using. When I made my own buttons everything began working.
