new customer burning to cd

a couple of questions: can i burn to a blank dvd disc instead of a cd disc. also, when i burned to a cd and played it back, i am getting picture show with no music or music with no photos

Hi, You can burn to a DVD-R just the same way you would burn to a CD-R, but keep in mind that the slide shows are designed for computers and not DVD players. This just means that you'll still need to play them in a computer even if you burn them to DVD-R. It sounds like your other problem could be that Windows is recognizing your media files and is offering to display them with another program. Obviously, this is not what you want... if the prepared ESSC files are burned directly to the CD, the startslideshow.exe should automatically launch and play your show as intended. If your 3 files and 7 folders that have been "prepared" are in a subfolder and not burned directly to the CD, this is the problem that occurs.
