Can anyone help? I just recently downloaded and registered Easy Slide Show Creator. I really love the program but cannot get music to play. I have copied music files into the folders I'm using, selected them, tried different types, wav, mp3. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Mike

Hi, wav and mp3 files are definitely supported file types. You have already added these files to the music play list? Do you always have this problem or just when playing the show from a burned cd? Just to be sure, you may want to verify that you are getting sound from other sources OK on your computer. For example, if you play a CD, can you hear everything normally? Let me know if any of these ideas spark a solution... thanks--

Brad: Thanks for replying. Yes, the music is in the play list and in the folder. Other programs are able to play music though I have had to mess with the settings. I could find no settings for this program. Is there an internal player. Another slide show program that I use gives a choice between internal and external speakers. I'm not sure what they mean but when I choose external it works. I'm baffled. Mike

Brad: I should have added, I haven't burned the files to a CD. When I test the music selection it doesn't work. Maybe I should burn a CD and see if that works! Mike

Hi, Is there anything you can think of that is unique to your system? This is certainly a strange problem. This is actually the first report of *nothing* playing as far as sound goes. Do you know what kind of sound card you have? I'm thinking it could be possible that your sound card has software or settings that would allow you to maybe specify the output destination of the sound, such as headphones or external speakers, etc. When ESSC plays music, it's streaming the file from disk, processing the file, and then outputting the sound to your system, so at that point, your sound card/system should be taking over to actually make the sound heard. Do you have a newer or older computer? Although it seems unlikely, maybe if you have an older computer with an older sound card, there is some incompatibility happening.

Brad: I got it to work. My sound card had a check box checked for digital output only. For some reason when I unchecked the box the music started to play. Sorry to be such a bother. Us rookies waste a lot of time for the experts! Mike
