The Picture Playlist
The playlist is a simple representation
of how your slide show will run when you play it. The pictures
in your slide show will appear in the order they appear on your
playlist. So, the picture in slot 1 will appear before the picture
in slot 2, which will appear before the picture in slot 3, etc.
There is no limit to the number of pictures in a single slide
show. If you want to rearrange the order of pictures in your
playlist, just click and drag an item to another location in
the list. If you want to copy an item in your list, hold the
Ctrl key on your keyboard as you click and drag. A small +
will appear next to your cursor to let you know the item will
be copied instead of moved. In either case, a black line will
appear to show you where the picture will be placed when you
release the mouse button. To scroll up and down in the event
that you have more than 10 pictures in your playlist, click
on the small arrow buttons to the right of the playlist. You
can also click and drag the textured block in the scroll bar
to move the list up and down more quickly.

To add items to your playlist, use the
Add button. Add will open an Add Files To
Playlist box so that you can select pictures from your
hard drive to add to your playlist. You can add more than one
picture at a time by selecting multiple pictures in the box
and then pressing "Open". Easy Slide Show Creator
supports the following picture file formats for slide shows:
bmp, gif, jpeg, jpg, png, tiff, tif, pict,
pct, and tga files.
To remove an item from your playlist, simply select that item
by clicking on it, and click on the Garbage Can
button. It will be removed from your slide show, but the file
on your hard drive will remain untouched so you can add it later
if needed.

The currently selected picture will have
a blue highlight and will be displayed in the preview window.
To preview any picture, simply click on it in the playlist.

The number at the far left of the list item is the pictures
place in the playlist. So if you see a 5, you know
this will be the 5th picture in your slide show. The picture
indicator is immediately to the right of the number, and it
will contain a small picture icon if the current playlist item
is occupied with a picture file. Next to the picture indicator
is a caption indicator. The playlist item will have a small
cartoon bubble icon if there is a caption associated with that
item. Next, the sound effect indicator, a small speaker icon,
will appear in the space to the right of the caption icon if
the playlist item has a sound effect associated with it. To
the right of the sound effect indicator will be the picture
files name. Finally, the time that appears on the far
right of the playlist item tells you how long the picture will
appear in your slide show before the next one is displayed.
